Automated CAD Geometry Check
Our automated engine parses .STEP/.IGES geometry for minimum wall thickness, deep narrow pockets, and tool reachability.
Senior Tooling Engineer Review
Senior Shenzhen DFM engineers examine critical tolerances, thread pitches, undercuts, and surface finish feasibility.
Actionable Cost-Reduction Feedback
We recommend radius enlargements or draft angle tweaks to reduce CNC machining cycles and tooling wear by 15% to 30%.

Key Design Rules for CNC & Injection Tooling
1. Wall Thickness Guidelines
For CNC machined metals, maintain a minimum wall thickness of 0.8 mm (0.03 in) for Aluminum and 0.5 mm for Stainless Steel to avoid deflection during cutting. For plastic injection molding, ensure uniform nominal wall thickness (1.5 mm – 3.0 mm) to prevent sink marks.
2. Internal Corner Radii
CNC end mills are cylindrical and cannot machine sharp 90° internal vertical corners. Always specify an internal corner radius (R ≥ 1/3 of pocket depth) to permit standard high-speed end milling without expensive wire EDM operations.
3. Draft Angles & Undercuts for Molds
For injection molding and die casting, provide 1.0° to 2.0° draft angles per side to ensure clean part ejection without drag marks.
